Segment 1: Junipero Serra Boulevard from South San Francisco City Limits to Avalon Drive

Based on previous community feedback received, the project team has developed two design alternatives for Junipero Serra Boulevard. Click on each alternative below to view or download a larger version. Next, share your feedback by answering a few questions near the bottom of this page about your preferred alternative.

Alternative 1

This alternative would add a multiuse path along the east side of Junipero Serra Boulevard from Avalon Drive to South San Francisco city limits. This alternative will require substantial cut and fill retaining walls and will maintain two lanes in the southbound and northbound directions.
Alternative 2

This alternative would add a multiuse path along the east side of Junipero Serra Boulevard from Avalon Drive to South San Francisco city limits. This alternative would reduce the southbound and northbound directions to one lane and reduce the operating speed. In addition, this alternative would add landscaping along the multiuse path.
